Retirement Planning is a crucial component of overall financial wellness. This webinar examines the many reasons you should be planning ahead for this important stage in life and offers a basic conceptual understanding of the tools and strategies available, as well as a few tips and tricks in response to your specific viewer questions.

About the Presenter:

Michael D. Shanahan is a graduate of The University of Alabama, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, in 1999. He has been in the financial services industry since 1999, beginning his career with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, GA. He then moved to Charlotte, NC where he was employed by Credit Suisse First Boston Direct and Thompson Financial Group. Michael affiliated with LPL Financial in 2003 in La Jolla, California. Michael is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner, at Overland & Shanahan Wealth Advisors, Inc. He also holds various other securities registrations through LPL Financial, as well as life, health, annuity and long-term care insurance licenses. Michael also enjoys a number of activities outside of the workplace. Among his favorite interests are golfing, traveling and learning as much as he can about wine. He also supports a number of charitable organizations including Scripps Hospital, The Wounded Warrior Project, The National Autism Association and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Host, Ed Badrak, discusses how to repair, rebuild, and restore less-than-perfect credit. Picking up from a previous discussion about basic practices and strategies to improve credit scores, this webinar takes a critical look at some of the precise behaviors (or accidents!) that might put a ding on your report, and then takes a practical and proactive approach in fixing them. Even if your credit report is squeaky clean, you can benefit from hearing an expert take on the ins and outs of repairing credit after such mishaps as a late payment or a reporting error.

About the Presenter:
With over 25 years of management experience in the financial industry, Ed Badrak has worked in multiple capacities ranging from loan officer, mortgage banker, owner of a mortgage company licensed in 40 states, to former president of a small business association. Ed has been a contributing author on leadership books, as well as a guest on radio and TV shows on numerous topics.
